OnePlus 5T Launched : Prices Specifications and other detail

OnePlus 5T has been launched on Thursday at New York. The highlight of the new flagship from OnePlusis its 6.01-inch full-HD+ bezel-less display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Another big highlight is its brand new dual camera setup, removing the telephoto lens and replacing it with a large aperture one. 

OnePlus 5T launch, and the need for a second smartphone in 2017, OnePlus Founder and CEO Pete Lau said in a statement, OnePlus 5 has been very positive, but there were some areas where we saw room for improvement to create an even better user experience.

• OnePlus 5T price in India :-

OnePlus 5T price in India starts at Rs. 32,999 for the 6GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage variant, and goes up to Rs. 37,999 for the 8GB RAM/ 128GB inbuilt storage variant. In the US, the OnePlus 5T 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant is priced at $499 (roughly Rs. 32,600), while the 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant is priced at $559 (roughly Rs. 36,500).

• OnePlus 5T launch offers :-

Available in a Midnight Black colour variant. The smartphone is exclusive to Amazon India, but will also be available via the OnePlus online store in India. As we've mentioned earlier, the smartphone will first go on sale exclusively for Amazon Prime members at 4:30pm IST on November 21 via the online retailer. Customers can also participate in the early access sale on OnePlusStore.in . 

• OnePlus 5T specifications, features :-

The dual-SIM (Nano) OnePlus 5T runs OxygenOS 4.7 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, and adds a feature not seen in the OnePlus 5 - Face Unlock - which the company says is based on advanced facial recognition algorithms that use over 100 facial features identity points to "securely unlock" the smartphone in 0.4 seconds. The display must be on for Face Unlock to work. The company adds that Face Unlock will not work as an authentication method on sensitive apps, like payment apps.

Users can also long-press the fingerprint sensor to take a selfie, and swipe the fingerprint sensor to bring up the notification shade. Other OxygenOS features seen on the OnePlus 5's latest stable builds have also made it through, such as Reading Mode, Parallel Apps, and Gallery Maps. The last update the OnePlus 5 received was OxygenOS 4.5.14, but we can expect OxygenOS 4.7 to make it way to the older smartphone as well.

The OnePlus 5T bears a 6.01-inch full-HD+ (1080x1920 pixels) Full Optic AMOLED with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 401ppi pixel density, and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The display also supports sRGB and DCI-P3 colour gamuts. Just like the OnePlus 5, the OnePlus 5T is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC, clocked at up to 2.45GHz, paired with either 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM.

          

cameras on the OnePlus 5T - OnePlus has decided to update the dual rear camera setup on the smartphone, making changes from the setup we saw on the OnePlus 5. The primary sensor remains identical to the OnePlus 5, being a 16-megapixel Sony IMX398 sensor with 1.12-micron pixels, and an aperture of f/1.7. However, it appears to have an upgraded focal length of 27.22mm.

Google yesterday announced the next version of Android and as expected, it was named as Oreo. Now, one thing that many people and enthusiasts will be thinking is whether their device will be updated to Android Oreo or not. It’s always a little difficult to track what companies say regarding updates.

Google

Starting off with Google, the Android-maker has revealed that it will be updating the Pixel phones and the Nexus 6P, 5X and the Nexus Player to Android 8.0 Oreo. For the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, the Oreo update could be the last major OS update, but it is possible that Google may try to leverage Project Treble and continue delivering major updates to those devices.

Samsung

Samsung has a huge number of devices at any given point of time. The Korean giant releases several devices every few months, so it can get pretty confusing to keep a track of which devices are most likely to get the official Oreo update.

Motorola’s Moto brand of smartphones portfolio has expanded drastically in the last year or so. The company has smartphones in the high-end, mid-range, budget segment as well as the entry level. HTC

HTC has been promising to release major Android OS updates faster than usual. This time around, the company has so far confirmed that the HTC U11 will be receiving the Oreo update. Nokia

During the Nokia 8 launch, HMD Global had confirmed that the Nokia 8 would be updated to Oreo quickly. Additionally, the company has also promised that all its smartphones will get a minimum of 2 years of OS update support. In light of this, all existing Nokia Android smartphones are expected to be updated to Oreo.

Xiaomi

Xiaomi has several smartphones in its Mi and Redmi lineup. While the company provides MIUI updates for a much longer period compared to other companies in the Android industry, these updates don’t always come with an updated version of Android.

The Redmi series always gets only 1 Android OS update, regardless of the MIUI version. The Mi series, on the other hand, gets OS updates for a much longer period. The Mi3, for example, was launched with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and was updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

LG

Asus

Asus has already confirmed that it will be updating the entire Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 3 lineup will be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo by the second half of 2018. This doesn’t necessarily mean that users of all the phones will have to wait until then – Asus could start rolling out the updates in a phased manner, depending on the device and region, among other things.

Google IO 2017 has just wrapped up and as expected, it was filled with lots of announcements. If you’re looking for a place to find just the highlights, you’ve come to the right place . last year’s presentation, machine learning, AI and using your voice to get things done took the front seat at IO 2017. 

• Android Go

Android that's less demanding to budget phones in 2018. It's called Android Go and it will allow smartphones with even as little as 512MB to 1GB of RAM to use the latest and greatest in Android software.

Google's Android One initiative, which brings stock Android to developing nations where quality options are scarce, Android Go will bring a similar approach to phones on a seemingly global scale.

The notion that Android O is only for the flashiest smartphones, Google is positioning its latest software to be a very scalable solution for people across a wide range of income levels.

• A smarter Assistant, now in more places

 You could previously do this with Google Translate and other third-party apps, but it will soon be an app-free benefit.

Google will soon enable you to write text to the Assistant for those moments when shouting at it isn’t an option. It's also more media-savvy and rich with capabilities on Google Home , aligning it more with Amazon Echo and even beyond in some cases.

The Assistant is coming to iOS , which is a huge deal. Siri was already in competition, but now that they can co-exist on the same device, Apple had better put all of its eggs in showing up Google’s virtual assistant at WWDC 2017 .

• Google digs into Android O

The elephant in the room. No, we still don’t know what the “O” stands for, but we do know more about what we can expect in the full release of the operating system later this Summer.

Google announced that Android O has leveled up to beta status, which means that it’s now more stable than it used to be and better yet, it’s even easier to download it on your compatible device.

The highlights for what Google showed us today include faster boot times, contextual options that make navigation easier and an awesome new picture-in-picture mode.

• Daydream goes deeper

Comparing Google’s Daydream VR to Samsung Gear VR has been fair. But today, they stand in two different playing fields. working on a reference Daydream headset in collaboration with Qualcomm that doesn’t require a phone to use. 

HTC announced that it has a Vive-branded all-in-one headsetcoming that will support Daydream. Lenovo has a headset coming as well, and Google stated that other manufacturers are expected to follow suit.

Google still has love for those with the Daydream View headset. It announced that LG’s next flagship phone (maybe the LG V30 ) as well as 2017’s hottest smartphone duo, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus , will be Daydream-compatible soon.

• Google Lens

Your camera isn’t just merely a camera anymore. With Google Lens injected into smartphones starting later this year, you’ll be able to take more unforgettable shots thanks to machine learning capabilities. Is your subject obscured by an object in the foreground? Google Lens can wipe it out automagically, as is illustrated in the image above.

Photos will be packed with data that can be parsed through by Lens. Stuff like the address of the restaurant shown in the background will be easily accessible thanks to Google’s new smart camera software technology.
