iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are official now, even though the iPhone X is the new Apple flagship.the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 design follow the same design language as their predecessors, they sport a metal and glass bodies and now come in only two storage variants - 64GB and 256GB. 

The iPhone 8 Plus has just been announced on stage at the Apple launch, but you'll have to wait until Friday, September 15 to pre-order the phone. then be released around the world on September 22. Exact markets for the iPhone 8 Plus are currently unclear, but it's certain to come to the UK, US and Australia.

The new iPhone 8 Plus is one of the first phones from Apple to come with a glass back. Apple claims it's the most durable glass ever in a smartphone, but it didn't reveal what glass protection it uses. the glass back, the design language on the iPhone 8 Plus is similar to the iPhone 7 Plus. There's no headphone jack, but we haven't found out yet if the new phone is any thinner.

You'll have the choice of silver, space grey or gold when it comes to iPhone 8 Plus colors.

Apple's iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are powered by A11 Bionic SoC six-core processors and improved GPU, which is 30 percent more efficient than the GPUs in last year's models. The new SoC and GPU are able to perform complex tasks such as video encoding at much faster rate.

The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus also come with improved cameras, Apple also claims the iPhone 8 Plus will provide the best video recording ever in a smartphone, with 4K 60fps video, 1080p 240fps slow-mo and generally faster video frame rates.

The iPhone 8 Plus comes with a dual 12MP rear camera. The wide-angle sensor has an aperture of f/1.8 and the telephoto has an aperture of f/2.8. It works in a very similar way to the iPhone 7 Plus, but there are a few upgrades.

Apple has also confirmed optical image stabilization, but it's uncertain if it'll be used on both sensors. Apple also claims that you'll get a more refined bokeh (background blur) effect with the iPhone 8 Plus.

The success of these iPhone models, especially in the wake of aggressive innovation and progress shown by Android smartphone makers such as Xiaomi and OnePlus. Both the companies are increasingly trickling down iPhone's best selling features to their phones at only a portion of the price. Samsung, too, has improved its software and camera modules significantly over the years.

The good news is... this is the only bad news. Apple claims the iPhone X, which is pronounced 'iPhone 10', is worth your money and the extra wait time. This is the 10th anniversary iPhone and it's making big changes for 2017. The iPhone X wasn't the only smartphone announced by Apple CEO Tim Cook on September 12. The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus were unveiled at the Steve Jobs Theater on Apple's new campus, too.

The first thing you notice on the iPhone X is a near bezel-less display on the front side. It is larger than ever at 5.8-inch. There is a notch on the top, but the company has pushed the screen resolution to 1125x2436 pixels, more than any previous generation iPhone models, and calls it the Super Retina HD Display.

The iPhone X is the future of smartphones, the executives said. Apple is doing away with the Touch ID, the fingerprint scanner embedded with Home Button that it introduced with iPhone 5s model. The iPhone X hosts a range of sensors including flood illuminator, infrared camera, front camera, and dot projector to allow customers to unlock the iPhone X by just looking at it - a system called Face ID.

Face ID is faster and more secure than the Touch ID, thanks to specialised hardware and algorithm driving that hardware. "The facial recognition grows with time. It learns your face and adapts to your face" Phil Schiller, Apple VP of Worldwide Marketing said. "It works in day, it works in night." While Touch ID could be tricked one in 50,000 times, Apple said, Face ID sees one error in one million times, citing its own internal data. Face ID will work with third-party apps as well, Schiller said.

iPhone X features a duo of 12-megapixel rear cameras, that are larger (f/1.8 and f/2.4 apertures), and faster. It has deeper pixels, quad-LED True Tone flash, Schiller said. For the 7-megapixel selfie camera, the company says it is bringing Portrait mode feature, which it introduced with the iPhone 7 Plus last year.

What iPhone X colors will you be able to get on day one? Space Gray and Silver will be the only two options available. No red, gold, rose gold or that rumored blush gold option this time around, which is disappointing.

The iPhone X price starts at $999 the most expensive iPhone ever made. And that's for the iPhone X with 64GB of storage.How much will the 256GB iPhone X cost? It'll be $1,149, there's no option in between, if you were hoping for a 128GB iPhone X.

iPhone X price into perspective, it doesn't cost much more than a 4.7-inch iPhone 8, which has a screen that's one inch smaller and received a basic specs boost, wireless charging, and a similar glass design. That extra $300 over the course of 24 months is only an additional $3 each week.

iPhone 8 launch confirmed for September 12: Apple invites for event

The iPhone 8 launch date has finally been announced by Apple, and it's September 12. specific mention of the new phone in the invite, but if you ever wanted a sure bet in your life then Tim Cook holding a new phone on the stage in a couple of weeks' time is as good as it gets.

The event is scheduled for 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST / 3am Wednesday September 13 AEST. the iPhone 8 launch is taking place inside the Steve Jobs Theater, located at Apple's new 'spaceship' campus in Cupertino, California. This will be the first-ever event held at the theater and new campus.

Alongside the new bezel-less iPhone 8, we're expecting a pair of more rudimentary new iPhones, in the shape of the iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus, as well as a new Apple Watch 3 (complete with LTE connectivity).

The new iPhone models are expected to not feature the traditional Touch ID fingerprint scanner, and instead house 3D sensors to enable facial recognition feature. According to earlier reports, the iPhone models will have much smaller chins -- bezels -- allowing company to fit bigger displays in the same , if not smaller form factor. Speaking of which, reports suggest that at least one of the models will feature OLED display (current generation iPhone models ship with LCD displays). Which brings us to its rumoured price: $999.

There is no word on the Indian pricing yet, but you can bet that it would be more expensive than the iPhone 7, the base model of which retailed at Rs. 72,000 when it became available in India. Apple usually begins shipping the iPhone models in two weeks in the United States, and make the new models available in India in about four weeks to six weeks.

iPhone 8 images design leaked

The images show the phone from all angles, and highlight a metal frame and a shiny glass back, making for a marked departure from the metal-backed iPhone 7 . dual-lens camera, in place of the horizontally aligned one on the iPhone 7 Plus . This has been rumored before and it’s thought that the change could somehow be needed to help with rumored augmented reality functions of the phone.

Probably have a bigger screen than either, with many current rumors pointing to a 5.8-inch display, achieved by removing the home button and having an all-screen front, as you can also see in these images.

The port and button placement largely seems similar to what’s gone before though, with two speaker grilles and a Lightning port on the bottom edge, a power button on the right edge and volume buttons on the left.

The source of this leak theorizes that the fingerprint scanner could instead be built either into the display itself, as has been rumored a number of times, or into the Apple logo on the back.That too was supposedly based on leaked designs, so the source diagrams could be the same.

The iPhone 8’s final form, as Apple has apparently been working on a number of prototypes, so this could end up being an unused design. sure until September, when the iPhone 8 is expected to be officially announced.
