Lenovo ZUK Z3 Max smartphone detail Leaked

Lenovo going through a slightly difficult time, the Chinese company got back into the game with its revamped smartphone division, the ZUK brand, which does not seem to want to stop to amaze us. After a short pause, it is all set to make a comeback with the new Lenovo ZUK Z3 Max smartphone offering top-of-the-line specs. Interestingly, two months ago, it was rumoured that Lenovo would be killing the ZUK brand to concentrate on Lenovo-Motorola devices.

The Lenovo ZUK Z3 Max surfaced on Weibo, a Chinese social networking site, alongside a screenshot listing the features of the device. Going by the source, the smartphone will allegedly feature a Snapdragon 836 processor. The spec sheet also hints at 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage, of which 239GB is usable.

Incidentally, the Snapdragon 836 processor is yet to be announced but is expected to be unveiled in the month of July.

The leaked picture of the smartphone flaunts a bezel-less display screen seemingly on par with that of the Samsung Galaxy S8. The volume-up, volume-down buttons and the power/lock key can be spotted on the right-hand side of the device. However, since the bottom part of the device is hidden in the picture, it is unclear whether the home button doubles as a fingerprint scanner, as is the case with most smartphones these days.

ZUK Z3 Max will ship Android Nougat out-of-the-box with the company’s own ZUI user interface on top. Chances are that this device will come in a 6GB variant as well.

Google Pixel and Pixel XL: Sold in 8 Months?

Google Android device has now sold over 1 million units, media reported, saying the figure was reached based on downloads of an application exclusive to the device. This is a milestone in the eight-month history of Pixel seen as Google's answer to the Apple iPhone, the number is overshadowed by its competition.

In comparison, Apple sold over 70 million iPhones (which included iPhone 7) in the last quarter of 2016 while Samsung is estimated to have sold 5 million units of Galaxy S8 in the first month of its release.

According to Google doesn't release sales data but the installs of the device-exclusive Pixel Launcher app has just passed the 1 million mark. The data includes pre-installed apps on new Pixel phones and doesn't count installs on third-party devices and so can accurately estimate the number of Pixel phones sold, the report said.

Launched last year, Pixel is the first smartphone that works as an intelligent personal assistant and knowledge navigator. The 5-inch smartphone is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset, 4GB of RAM and runs on Android Nougat 7.0 operating system.

Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, with two cores clocked at 1.6GHz, and two cores clocked at 2.15GHz, coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro vs Galaxy J7 Max: What the difference?

Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy J7 Pro and the J7 Max in India carrying attractive price tags. The Galaxy J7 Max will be available as soon as next week whereas the Galaxy J7 Pro will be sold starting mid-July.

Both handsets will be sold via offline stores in the country, and the company hasn’t shared details on online availability at the moment. It’s likely that Samsung wants to keep these handsets limited to brick-and-mortar stores in the country, which might not be a bad ploy.

  • Differences between the two handsets?
Display

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920x1080) Super AMOLED display panel. The Galaxy J7 Max, on the other hand, comes with a larger 5.7-inch display panel with the same resolution but settles for an LCD panel instead.

Performance

The Galaxy J7 Pro comes with the octa-core 1.9 GHz Exynos 7870 processor, while the J7 Max is equipped with the octa-core 1.9 GHz Mediatek MT6757 Helio P20 chipset. Although the two processors are produced by different manufacturers, the performance should be pretty much on par since they both run on Cortex-A53 cores.

Battery

The J7 Max is packing a 3,300mAh battery on board, whereas the J7 Pro comes with a 3,600mAh battery under the hood. Since the J7 Pro comes with a Super AMOLED display, we figure the battery performance should be significantly better. In terms of real-world performance, though, both phones should pretty much be on par.

Camera

Both phones are pretty much the same in this regard as they’re packing a 13MP f/1.7 rear camera, and a 13MP f/1.9 front camera. The two phones come with a LED flash on the front as well, much in line with modern day mid-rangers. It’s clear why Samsung is rating the camera credentials of the two phones very highly.

Other features

The Galaxy J7 Max comes with 32GB of storage and 4GB of RAM. The J7 Pro, however, comes with only 3GB of RAM but bumps up the storage to 64GB. Both phones support
expandable storage.

Samsung new version of Samsung Pay, known as Samsung Pay Mini. This will consist of UPI and other wallets like Paytm. The company expects to bring this to all the new Galaxy J series phones starting with the Galaxy J7 Max. Both the new handsets come with a front facing fingerprint scanner.

USB Type-C port on either phone here, so customers will have to settle for the conventional micro USB port. The Galaxy J7 Pro and the J7 Max will be available in Black and Gold color variants at launch.

Pricing and availability

The Galaxy J7 Max will set you back by Rs 17,900 when it is made available via Samsung retail stores and other offline retailers on June 20.

The Galaxy J7 Pro will cost Rs 20,900 and will be available through the same retail channels as the J7 Max.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Active Specifications Leaked

Samsung has made it a point to launch a rugged version of its flagship smartphones in recent years. Galaxy S6 Active and Galaxy S7 Active of the past, the South Korean giant is tipped to launch an 'Active' version of its newest Galaxy S8 flagship phone.

A hint of this was first spotted in May when the Galaxy S8 Active with model number SM-G892A was listed to support Netflix in HDR.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active with the model number SM-G892A scored a 1842 in single-core and 6394 in the multi-core tests on Geekbench, which is fairly close to what the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ scored earlier.

The specifications mentioned also fall in line with the recently launched flagships including an octa-core Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM. The Galaxy S8 Active is listed running Android 7.0 Nougat

Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is expected to house a larger battery compared to the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, much like the case with the Galaxy S7 Active, which housed a 4,000mAh battery compared to the 3000mAh seen in the Galaxy S7

In terms of looks, don't expect the the 'Active' version to be as pretty as the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. The Galaxy S8 Active may lack the curved edges of the flagship and could feature a bulkier, more rugged casing for rough, outdoor use.

Galaxy S8 Active doesn't face the same water resistant issues that plagued the Galaxy S7 Active. the same waterproof standards that the company promised.

Galaxy S8 Active will hit the streets, you can expect the unveiling to be around the corner seeing as how the Galaxy S7 Active was launched around the same time last year.

First OnePlus 5 image reveals an iPhone 7 Plus: official design

OnePlus the official announcement date of June 20, as it’s just shown off the first clear image of the OnePlus 5, confirming that the phone has a dual-lens camera in the process.

The image gives us almost a complete view of the back of the handset, showing off two camera lenses, with an antenna band running above them and a OnePlus logo below.

It looks to be made of metal, with curved edges, OnePlus has described it as a continuous hard edge.

Power/lock key and SIM card slot on the right side, while the top edge is devoid of features.

That's a bit of a worry as there's speculation that OnePlus is moving the headphone jack to the top of the handset. Sadly, we can’t see the bottom edge, so it’s impossible to say whether the port is gone altogether or not.

  • More lenses, more light, clearer photos

There little else to take from the image, which lines up with the more recent leaks we’ve seen, but we can say a bit more about the camera, as OnePlus has included the tagline “Dual Camera. Clearer Photos.”

That too was leaked before, and we theorized at the time that the mention of clearer photos could mean a monochrome and color lens pairing, allowing the camera to use them both to take in more light and detail, resulting in clearer images. That  just speculation for now, but we’re less than two weeks from the official announcement,
